Miss Burwell Rodeo

Hello Rodeo Fans,

This is Halee Kohmetscher and I am your 2019 Miss Burwell Rodeo. I was born and raised on my family’s farm and ranch outside of Lawrence, Nebraska. I am the daughter of Duane and the late Laurie Kohmetscher and the younger sister to my older sister Kristin and brother Shane. I am a sophomore at Northeast Community College where I major in Animal Science. This year, I am a member of the Northeast College Farm Bureau, Diversified Agriculture Club, and serve as an AG Ambassador, I have also been a member of the Livestock Judging team and support the brand new rodeo team as I can.
When I graduate from college this coming May, I hope to either go back to my stomping grounds and either start working at a veterinary clinic as an office manager, or continue my education and possibly start my own business to benefit the animal athletes of the sport of rodeo. Either way I know my passion for the sport of rodeo, agriculture, and love for animals will help me find a career that fits.
The moment my name was announced as the new Miss Burwell Rodeo, filled me with so much excitement, gratitude and an urge to hit the ground running. I have always followed the rodeo queen world for as long as I can remember and this title has been a goal of mine for quite some time. Now that I am putting it into reality I cannot wait to represent this historic rodeo, tight knit community and generous sponsors.
Feel free to interact with me at the many events I will attend this year, and if you can’t be there in person make sure you keep up to date with me on Facebook and Instagram, I have some exciting things planned! Moving forward I would like to thank the rodeo committee, the queen committee, my many generous sponsors and the community for creating this opportunity for me and the girls that have come before me. It is an honor to represent and serve a community that loves the sport of rodeo so much.

See you down the road,
Halee
