Miss Burwell Rodeo

Taytum Dickman was raised on ranch south of Elwood, Nebraska. She is currently is a junior at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln where she studies Animal Science with an option in Equine Sciences. When she graduates in December of 2019, she plans on starting her career in the animal science industry. At UNL Taytum is involved with the Husker Equestrian Team where she serves as Western Team Captain.

In her spare time Taytum enjoys competing in open horse shows, traveling to rodeos to compete in barrel racing, giving riding lessons, and hunting coyotes with her brother. She is grateful for the opportunity to represent Nebraska’s Big Rodeo in its 98th year!

Sidney Spanel is a fifth grader at Burwell Elementary. She lives on a ranch 22 miles north of Burwell. She likes to read mystery books and loves collecting Breyer horses and shooting archery. Sidney would love to have you all join her in her hometown of Burwell on July 24-27 for an action packed rodeo and of course, great hospitality.
