Hello Rodeo Fans,
Miss Burwell Rodeo 2020, Macy Zentner here! I come from the small village of Cedar Rapids. I am the daughter of Tracy and the late Mark Zentner. I grew up with four older siblings and not one of us has the same hobby! I am currently a sophomore at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) where I study Livestock Management and Agribusiness. At NCTA, I am a Resident Assistant, an Ambassador, a club member of the Collegiate FFA and Women in Ag, secretary for the Collegiate Cattlemen’s club, and I compete on the Ranch Horse Team.
Although my graduation date is set for the fall of 2021, I have not decided what I will do after graduation. I enjoy all aspects of the agriculture world and can’t seem to narrow it down to just one part, but with a horse by my side and a lot of faith, I know I will figure it out soon!
Rodeo has been a huge part of my life ever since I started riding. I started out riding in 4H shows, but I soon found the love for barrel racing and pole bending. Then I began riding in Junior Rodeos. I became stronger with my riding skills and slowly moved into High School Rodeos. After hearing about one of my friends winning their first queen title, I knew I had to try. Little did I know how hooked I would become! During my first queen title and visiting Nebraska’s Big Rodeo, I knew I had to try for Miss Burwell Rodeo and that goal made its way onto my bucket list. Standing on the track and hearing my name called was a huge thrill and something I will never forget. As I sat in the arena that night, I looked at the crowd and was so humbled to know that I was going to represent the small, cozy, heartfelt town of Burwell.
I have so many more exciting opportunities lined up as Miss Burwell Rodeo and can’t wait to tell all of you about them! A special thank you to the town of Burwell, my generous sponsors, the rodeo committee, and the queen committee for making this year possible! Feel free to follow my page, Miss Burwell Rodeo, on Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date on the places I go! I love to chat and can always be reached on these sites, and I am never too busy to talk to you at a rodeo! I can’t wait to show everyone what Burwell is made of!
